Welcome to the AT3D Lab!
Located in the Sculpture Building room #114, UARK’s 3D Advanced Technology Lab (AT3D) is small-group studio and teaching space that houses digital fabrication equipment including: Laser Cutter, CNC routers, 3D Printers, AR + VR Headsets, and 3D Scanners. Computers include 2 Mac Studio Workstations, 1 iMac and 2 PC workstations with Rhino, Blender, Fusion 360, Cura, Prusa Slicer, Bambu Studio, Adobe CC, (and more).
Equipment and workstations are available for use by students, staff, and faculty in the School of Art during monitored hours. Appointments are recommended (see Booking section below) and Graduate Assistants are available to help with design, fabrication, and troubleshooting, and the facility is managed by the Director of Technology, Vincent Edwards.
The AT3D lab is available by appointment to active students, faculty, and staff of the School of Art for design to support coursework and research projects.
Fall 2024 - The AT3D Lab will be open during scheduled hours for appointments and consultations. Faculty and MFAs with appropriate training and access privileges can also use the AT3D Lab and equipment as needed after hours.

After-hours access is ONLY available for monitors, and grad students who have been trained AND granted access / approval to work on equipment. Equipment includes the Epilog M40 laser cutter, 3D printers, 3D scanner, etc. Please email for inquiries. This level of access is earned though experience and practice, and is reserved for MFA students and faculty.
Scheduled hours will resume starting week 2 of the FA24 semester and a new schedule will be posted here.
Monitor hours
Student Monitors are available to solve machine issues and offer basic help with design, planning, and operating equipment. Lab supervisor, Vincent Edwards, can help with more complex issues and is also available by appointment. vincente@uark.edu
The instructional support for the lab also serves as faculty within the School of Art. As a general rule, AT3D Lab Monitors are not available on University of Arkansas holidays.

Vincent Edwards
Faculty member and Technician in charge of the AT3D Lab. Vincent came to UARK in 2016 to create the AT3D Lab. He has taught a number of courses including Advanced Sculpture, CNC Furniture Design, Graduate Seminar, Form and Space, and many independent studies. Vincent has earned a BFA in printmaking from Indiana University, and an MFA in Furniture Design from the Herron School of Art and Design.

Reilly Dickens-Hoffman
Reilly is a School of Art Shops and Labs technician (+) with a broad range of skills to bring to the AT3D Lab. His past employers include Zahner Metals, Living Designs, as well as his own public art company, R + K. Reilly has a background with VR modeling, sound and video production, and lots more.
